Trevor White
President & CEO
Trevor is the co-founder of SWITCH Power and former Vice President of Business Development at CWL Energy Management, where he created, developed, and lead their Renewables Business Unit (now SWITCH Power). Trevor has nearly 10 years of broad experience in the renewable power and oil and gas industry, with exposures in business and project development, M&A, and commercial and financing. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a business development and corporate strategy professional and a 2010 Olympian in the sport of Alpine. Trevor is responsible for planning, corporate strategy, and governance, with a focus on business development, and is responsible for day-to-day operations, resource management, and related management decisions and strategies.
Warren Coles
Chief Financial Officer
Warren brings 30 years of broad financial experience in both public and private corporations spanning multiple industries, including remote power, oil and gas, as well as software development. Warren has a proven ability to manage corporate financial and development functions including financial reporting, North American GAAP reconciliations and consolidations, profit and loss responsibility, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, budgeting and forecasting, and business and financial analysis. Warren holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Calgary.
Cory St. Croix
General Counsel & Vice President Commercial
Cory has over 20 years of broad commercial energy experience, spanning multiple provinces and states. He holds a science degree in Applied Mathematics from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a law degree from the University of New Brunswick. After practicing corporate commercial law privately and in-house for several years, he embarked on a 10 year career in business development with a number of large cap energy companies. During this time, he helped create the first Alberta power auction and negotiated uniquely structured commodity contracts. His experience structuring partnerships and complex commercial transactions will be an asset in executing SWITCH’s goal of creating sustainable power solutions. Cory is responsible for legal, commercial and community endeavors, as well as building meaningful relationships with stakeholders.
Marc Haugen
Vice President, Asset Delivery & Operations
Marc has over 20 years of experience, with proven results in power generation, power services and heavy industry in three different countries. He was previously the Director of Power Systems at ENMAX Power Services, where he oversaw the design, construction, commissioning, and operations of electrical infrastructure, leading 120% growth over 5 years. Prior to ENMAX, he was the Director of Operations Diagnostics at TransAlta, where he provided centralized operating diagnostics for reliability and performance on a fleet of 900+ generators with installed capacity of 8GW, located at over 30 sites in Australia, Canada, and the US. His experience at TransAlta also saw him as the Commercial Manager of Gas and Renewables, where he owned operations and commercial arrangements for generating assets. Marc is responsible for all design activities, construction, ongoing operations and maintenance activities associated with SWITCH’s assets.
Mardell Van Nieuvenhuyse
Director, Corporate Finance
Mardell is a senior business professional with over 15 years of progressive experience, spanning from a variety of domestic and international roles in corporate finance, corporate development, financial and commercial advisory, credit risk, commercial management, and investor relations. She has an extensive understanding of the electricity sector, having spent time at ENMAX and TransAlta in Alberta. Additionally, she provided treasury and corporate advisory services to government-owned electricity companies while at Queensland Treasury Corporation in Brisbane, Australia. Mardell holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder. At SWITCH Power, Mardell is responsible for leading and supporting corporate and project finance activities, treasury, and investor relations.
Henry Tam
Director, Corporate Development & Strategy
Henry has nearly 20 years of experience in the energy industry, working in commercial, management, and business development roles. He previously managed a team overseeing commercial and negotiations for an international energy company, and has also led multi-disciplinary international project teams and negotiated agreements resulting in executed transactions of over $2 billion in asset value. His accomplishments span the oil & gas value chain across exploration, production, and midstream in various basins and jurisdictions. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. Henry leads the mergers and acquisitions process at SWITCH Power, as well as manages corporate strategy.
Josh Campbell
Director, Technical Services
Josh is an experienced engineer and manager, with over 15 years of broad technical and project execution experience across Canada and the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and obtained his Project Management Professional certification. Throughout his career, he has held key positions in both office and field roles for projects ranging in size from $2 million to $1.7 billion and has built a reputation for executing complex projects on time and on budget. Josh oversees the technical arm of SWITCH Power, as well as supports project management, operations, and business development activities with effective and innovative technical solutions.
Jillian Haneiph
Director, Origination
Jillian has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, working in supply chain management and business development. She is a three-time alumnus of the University of Calgary with degrees in Commerce, International Relations, and a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development. During an internship with the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership in Business, she was responsible for feasibility studies on renewable energy systems in Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest. Jillian is passionate about creating sustainable power solutions for organizations and communities alike, as she leads the Origination team.
Etienne Van der Linde
Director, Projects
Etienne is a seasoned expert in project management and brings over 15 years of project execution experience in heavy civil, power generation, transmission, and distribution. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in both civil and industrial engineering, as well as a master’s degree in both Business and Project Management. He is internationally recognized for his ability to effectively deliver complex engineering and construction projects and programs that require an extensive multi-disciplinary approach within EPC, EPCM and OE focused structures for projects ranging between $50k to $3.6 billion. During his career, he has managed over $11 billion worth of projects. Etienne is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of major projects including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Dan Visser
Director, Project Development
Dan has more than 15 years of renewable project engineering, development, and construction experience. He was previously the development and engineering manager for Suncor’s Renewable Energy Group, where his team was responsible for over 350 MW of constructed wind projects and a pipeline of over 1,100 MW of wind and solar development sites. Dan served as on-site construction manager for two Ontario FIT projects and has extensive site development and construction, stakeholder, community engagement and regulatory experience. Before his employment at Suncor, Dan was a renewable engineer at WSP, where he worked on layout design and energy assessment for wind and solar projects across North America. He holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, both from University of Calgary. Dan is responsible for project development across SWITCH Power’s portfolio and is passionate about building relationships and renewable energy projects.
Elyce Henry
Financial Controller
Elyce brings nearly 10 years of experience in accounting, including leading financial management activities as the Controller of a start-up organization in the land development and residential construction industry. Supporting the growth of annual revenue to over $15M in 4 years, she led the development of internal controls, guidelines and procedures to further the company’s scaling operations. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce and holds a CPA designation.
Elyce currently oversees all accounting functions at SWITCH as a member of the Finance Team.
Jon Poulin
Project Manager, Asset Delivery
Jon is a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional with over 10 years of experience in the electrical industry spanning utility, manufacturing and oil and gas throughout Western Canada. He was previously a Project Manager at Nutrien managing a $20 million portfolio across electrical, mechanical, structural, and IT projects. Jon believes the environment is critical to the future and renewables are a requirement in achieving a sustainable future. He has been formally recognized for driving safety and achieving zero injuries during each of his projects. Jon has a passion for technology and achieving results through the creation of tools for Nutrien, SaskPower and now SWITCH, streamlining of processes, driving productivity and building top performing teams.
Conor Gahagan
Project Manager, Project Delivery
Conor has over 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with involvement in underground electrical distribution, secondary network systems, and streetlighting. In addition to his technical experience in engineering & design, Conor has also been the project manager of a variety of utility construction projects. As both the project manager and designer for the distribution projects he facilitated, he was able to identify and implement efficiencies throughout his projects therefore reducing project timelines, costs, and ensuring project success. Conor believes renewables and economical energy storage are critical to ensuring a sustainable future and is eager to play an active role in their development. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary. Conor is part of the Project Delivery team and is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Shayan Zahid
Financial Planning Analyst
Shayan brings nearly 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis roles at utility scale power generation and water desalination facilities with ENGIE in South Asia and the Middle East. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University of Sciences and Technology. Shayan is responsible for budgeting and forecasting, and economic analysis of projects through financial modeling.
Christine Lambert
Development Lead
Christine is an experienced Planner and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician with nearly 10 years of experience in the electricity transmission and environmental sector. She has focused on linear industrial development, specializing in planning and permitting of transmission lines, substations, and telecommunication facilities. Christine has experience with site and route development, stakeholder and community engagement, and experience with the AUC regulatory process in Alberta. Christine is responsible for renewable energy site selection and assessment, leading consultation and approvals with key stakeholders and agencies, and supporting acquisition, development, and construction activities for SWITCH’s development team.
Dmitry Ozerny
Technical Analyst
Dmitry has more than nearly 20 years of international and Canadian experience in GIS and IT, in the oil and gas, utilities, infrastructure, municipal and military sectors. He previously worked as a GIS consultant for the Trans Mountain Expansion Project and holds a master’s degree in Geographic Information Science. Dmitry is responsible for supporting the technical modelling of energy yields, layout and design, development planning and constraints analysis, and site suitability scoring.
Emily Gilman
Project Coordinator
Emily has over 5 years of experience in the energy industry, with exposure in oil refining, retail marketing, and power. She holds an Economics degree from the University of Calgary with a concentration in applied energy. The focus of her studies was renewable power in Canada. After graduating, Emily worked as a Business Analyst at Husky Energy, leading big data projects to enhance project performance and financial reporting. Emily is part of the Project Delivery team and supports the coordination and execution of projects including procurement, reporting, and cost control.
Charith Udapamunuwa
Commercial Analyst
Charith has over 5 years of professional experience within renewable energy and e-mobility. His experience covers project development with a focus in solar energy and business strategy for cleantech start-ups. He holds both a bachelors and master’s degree in engineering from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Ontario.
Charith is responsible for providing financial modelling support, market research and analysis to support the Mergers and Acquisition process.
Andrew Thom
Commercial Analyst
Andrew brings over 5 years of professional experience within the renewable energy, petrochemical, and medical industries. He is an experienced team lead with demonstrated skills in business analysis, production accounting, administration, and business strategy. He holds an Economics degree from the University of Calgary, a certification in Petroleum Land Business from Mount Royal University and is a CAPPA certified Production Accountant. Andrew is responsible for providing research, analysis, and financial modeling support to proactively evaluate markets, partners, and project investment opportunities.
Olu Ajose
Electrical Engineer (EIT)
Olu is an engineering professional with 5 years’ experience in engineering consulting in West Africa and North America, working in mining and the power systems industry. He has a strong educational background with a Bachelor of Science in electronics and electrical engineering, and a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Lakehead University. He is also a PMI certified Project Management Professional.
Olu has extensive knowledge in the design of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and control systems for industrial applications which he will be applying in his role within the asset delivery and operations team.
Jeff Vergouwen
Sr. Advisor – Project Economics & Finance
Jeff is a finance professional with nearly 25 years of experience in financial valuation, risk assessment and deal structuring for renewable energy and power infrastructure, with a focus on financial feasibility analysis for solar, wind and small hydro projects in Canada and the United States. Jeff holds an MBA and is a recognized financial valuation expert in electric energy by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board.

Jason is a Senior Director of Investments and partner at PFM Capital Inc. He joined PFM in 2008 and is responsible for managing the firm’s diversified energy portfolio. He brings over 14 years of institutional investment experience within the energy sector, previously working on the trading desk for Capital Power Corp. and as an oil and gas equity research associate for Raymond James. Jason currently sits on the boards of Fire Sky Energy Inc., Aureus Energy Services Ltd., and Wind River Power Corp.

Jarvis Nicoll is the co-founder and President of the CARDON group, and the acting President of one of its subsidiary companies CWL Energy Management. Jarvis manages CARDON Capital, the investment arm of the CARDON group, where he oversees several equity investments, and oversees the growth opportunities for their capital portfolio.

Terri-Lee Oleniuk

Terri-Lee Oleniuk is a partner in the Calgary office of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Her practice focuses on project-related issues concerning natural-resource development with a specialization in regulatory, environmental, and Indigenous law issues. Terri-Lee acts for a variety of companies in environmental assessments and regulatory proceedings to obtain approvals for major developments in the oil and gas, pipeline, mining (including metal, potash, and diamond), natural-gas processing, petrochemical, electricity transmission, hydro, solar, and wind sectors. She is a member of the Firms’ Partnership Committee and is the Calgary chair of the Women’s Initiative. Terri-Lee sits on the Law Society of Alberta’s Practice Foundations Lawyer Competence Advisory Committee and is on the executive of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Environmental, Energy and Resources Law Section. She holds a Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate from the University of Saskatchewan and recently obtained her Master of Laws in Energy and Infrastructure Law from York University.
